Cambridge Reserve in Hoppers Crossing is becoming a major play space for Wyndham! Wyndham City wants your help in deciding what play elements will feature in the reserve.

Cambridge Reserve in Hoppers Crossing is a much loved open space environment in Wyndham. As part of Council's park upgrade strategy for the whole of Wyndham, as detailed in the Play Space Strategy and Open Space Strategy, Cambridge Reserve is receieving a significant upgrade to address the ageing infrastructure, including playground equipment, pathways, furniture and landscaping, in order to meet the expectations of the local residents and the broader community. This upgrade with establish the park as a district -level park.

What is a district-level park?

Defined in the Wyndham Open Space Strategy, a district-level park is a space that caters for a collection of adjacent neighbourhoods. This may provide for active sport and/or passive activities, and are generally located within one kilometre of all dwellings. District parks may also protect sites of natural and heritage value and provide for landscape diversity and amenity.

A district-level play space upgrade is exciting for Cambridge Reserve as, once upgraded, the reserve will be a terrific space for the residents, nearby sporting clubs and wider local community.
