Connecting spaces and people!

We are very excited to announce that Friar Place Park is getting a face lift! And we're seeking your thoughts on what should be included in the park redesign.

The upgrade of Friar Place Park is part of the Council's play space improvement strategy across Wyndham.

Sliding, swinging, climbing, running - what's your favourite way to play?

Help Council inform how to improve Friar Place Park by completing the survey below.

You can check out the park concept plan (also located in the document library on the right hand side) outlining the three areas of the park proposed for improvement:

  • Playground area
  • Nature-based play
  • Pathways.

The bigger picture

Why are we improving?

Friar Place Park improvements is part of a larger strategy across the municipality to address ageing infrastructure within a number of reserves to meet the expectations of the local residents and the broader community. These improvements include playground equipment, pathways, furniture and landscaping.

The re-invigoration works are aligned with Council's Open Space Strategy and Play Space Strategy.

What we are improving?

The improvements across the municipality may include:

  • Play equipment upgrades
  • New path networks
  • Small ball sport areas
  • Seating
  • Potential picnic areas
  • Tree planting
  • Open grass area improvements.

How can you help?
