Our commitment to the community

We want to ensure that all of our engagement opportunities help to identify community needs and priorities so that Council’s decisions can align with community expectations.

Community engagement is a crucial input into good decision making. We combine community feedback with other evidence (research/customer data), expert knowledge and our strategic policies and guided legislation to come to an informed decision.

Our Community Engagement Policy details how we will engage with you and how you can have a say on projects that matter to you.

We are striving for a best-practice approach to engagement to help us to create more liveable communities, better public policy and to ensure people are at the core of what we do.

The Loop

The Loop makes it easy for you to share your ideas and opinion on decisions, projects and services that affect you.

Through this site, we are giving everyone the opportunity to:

  • Share your views, comments and ideas
  • View information on various Council projects
  • Stay informed on key projects and initiatives

How does it work?

The Loop is an additional online engagement tool which complements traditional face-to-face consultation, such as workshops, pop-ups and forums. It provides an alternative and convenient option for those who may not be able to attend face-to-face activities.

All comments, ideas and suggestions (collected online or face-to-face) are collated and used to inform Council decision making processes.

Why should I sign up?

Join more than 7,000 engaged community members to receive regular updates on how your contributions are helping shape the future of Wyndham as well as progress updates or changes to projects you have subscribed to. You will also be notified when a project related to your interest is listed.
