April Community Update

21 April 2026

We've had a big start to the year on The Loop, with more than 1,400 people sharing their feedback on local projects that matter to them. But we’d love to hear from even more of you!

Keep reading to see what’s open for feedback right now.

Big plans for Riverwalk

We're planning a new Riverwalk Community Precinct in Werribee, including a new community centre, open space and dog off leash area designed for people of all ages to enjoy.

There are lots of ways to get involved in this project. We're looking for ideas to help name the new community centre and plan the programs and activities that might be held there.

We're also looking for your feedback on the open space designs as well as the Riverwalk Community Precinct Plan, which brings all these improvements together.

Learn more or attend a drop in session before Sunday 10 May here.

Help space the future of Derrimut Road West

We’re excited to share the Draft Derrimut Road West Urban Design Framework (UDF). This is a long-term plan that will guide how this important area near Tarneit Town Centre grows and develops.

It outlines the vision for new homes, shops, streets and public spaces and now we’re asking for your feedback before it’s finalised.

Share your feedback or join an info session here before Monday 18 May.

Project updates

  • We're finalising our Draft Budget 2026/27, which will open for feedback after the April Council Meeting. Keep an eye out for how you can have your say on the projects, services and priorities for the year ahead.
  • Our Youth Survey is still open! So far over 300 young people in Wyndham have gotten involved but we want to hear from more! The survey closes on Tuesday 30 June, so there is still lots of time to have your say.

As always, we're available to help with any questions via engagement@wyndham.vic.gov.au

Looking forward to seeing you on The Loop soon,

Wyndham Community Engagement Team
