Our new community centre coming to Werribee needs a name!

Located within the Riverwalk Community Precinct, the new community centre will provide local residents with the facilities and services they need, close to home.

The centre will host community programs, events and activities and provide opportunities for residents to meet and connect, participate in community life, and access local services, programs, and information. It will include:

  • Kinder - three and four year kindergarten services
  • Early years services - including maternal and child health and allied health services
  • Community events - a range of community events, programs and activities
  • Meeting spaces - community meeting spaces available for public use
  • Gathering spaces - outdoor areas for general public use
  • Community kitchen - for use by community groups

Design work for the Riverwalk Community Centre (interim name) has started, construction is expected to begin in 2027 with the centre hopefully being operational in late 2028.

We want you to tell us your thoughts on what theme you would like the name of the new community centre to represent. You can also share some examples of names that you would like Council to consider when naming the new centre. All names that are suggested will need to be assessed for compliance against the requirements of the Naming rules for places in Victoria before they can be considered.

We'd also like to hear your thoughts on the programs that you'd like to see delivered at the new centre.

Share your feedback here before 11:59PM Sunday 10 May 2026.
