We are constructing a brand new sporting reserve in 2022 at Alcock Road Reserve, Truganina.

Our Sports Strategy has identified that the primary sports to be housed at this reserve include Soccer, Cricket and Tennis. Outside of formal club activity, the reserve will be available for the public to use at their leisure, and other organised groups on occasion.

Alcock Road Reserve forms a major part of the Truganina South East Master Plan. After community consultation in 2019, the Community Precinct Master Plan, which will include an Integrated Family Centre and outdoor open space, was adopted by Council.

Next steps

The survey component of this consultation has closed.

Participants of the survey who indicated their interest in being part of the club development process will be contacted to attend a face to face session for their sport(s) of choice.

It is at these meetings that the inaugural committees of Clubs will begin to take shape, before Council and the community members move through a detailed process of club development, as we look to ensure the long term sustainability of these clubs.

An engagement report will be provided to all who have contributed to the consultation following these face to face sessions.
