Since the adoption of our Sports Strategy, we have been busy building brand new sporting reserves across Wyndham to meet the needs of our community.

Two new reserves are nearly ready for community use. Bensonhurst Parade Reserve in Point Cook and Alcock Road Reserve in Truganina are large open space areas. Both reserves will include new tennis, cricket and soccer facilities for community members.

Next steps

The survey component of this consultation has closed.

Participants of the survey who indicated their interest in being part of the club development process will be contacted to attend a face to face session for their sport(s) of choice. It is at these meetings that the inaugural committees of Clubs will begin to take shape, before Council and the community members move through a detailed process of club development, as we look to ensure the long term sustainability of these clubs.

An engagement report will be provided to all who have contributed to the consultation following these face to face sessions.
