A space for everyone!

Lawrie Emmins Reserve Gateway and Youth Precinct is a large, un-used open space in Laverton North that is ready to be designed for Community use.

This project is an offshoot of the broader Lawrie Emmins Reserve Masterplan which was adopted by Wyndham City Council in December 2019. You can read more about our initial consultation for the Masterplan here. This first stage will deliver a diverse range of recreation opportunities that celebrate young people in the fast growing suburbs of Williams Landing, Laverton North and Truganina.

The exciting new youth precinct will form a gateway to the remainder of the reserve, and will tie into proposed plans for neighboring wetlands to the east of the youth precinct.

The youth precinct will include a skatepark, beginner/intermediate climbing wall, sports courts, outdoor fitness equipment, toilets, shelters, custom seating areas, tree plantings as well as open, well-maintained lawn for picnics, kick-to-kick and local events.

We are asking you what you would like to see in the youth precinct, as well as for your feedback on our initial layout plan.
