What's happening?

Council has recently reviewed and updated the General Specifications for Roadworks with the intent of implementing the updated specification as of the 1st of November 2021. For subdivision development, the specification will be implemented on any developments which have had stamped approved Engineering plans dated 1st of November 2021.

They have been updated to reflect the most current DOT (VicRoads) specification, however have also been amended to better reflect Council’s role/relationship for works which are undertaken on both current and future Council infrastructure.

References to contract requirements, inclusions, assessments have also been amended and/or struck out as they are not relevant to non-Council funded/managed works or subdivisional developments. In addition some of the requirements have been amended to be more aligned to works relevant to the construction of Council infrastructure.

To enable amendments to be easily identified, where changes have been made to the VicRoads specification the original text has been struck out. Any additional Council inclusions/text are underlined throughout the document and in addition this the ‘Wyndham City Council Specifications – Fundamental Technical Changes’ document provides a summary of fundamental/major changes.
