The Draft Social and Economic Inclusion Framework consultation is now closed - you can view the final Framework in the document library.

In 2019 we engaged a wide spectrum of business and community stakeholders to better understand the challenges and opportunities to build a more inclusive community.

We've used this information to draft a Social and Economic Inclusion Framework to guide business, community and government in planning for a Wyndham where cultural diversity is celebrated and everyone can participate in work and community life.

Wyndham is becoming home to more people from more places every day. Close to half of all Wyndham residents were born overseas from 162 countries and are affiliated with over 90 different faiths. Overall, Wyndham's population is younger and more diverse than Greater Melbourne.

This framework represents a new approach to planning for community; bringing together social policy with economic development activities and setting the stage for a future of inclusive economic growth.
