About the project
The Truganina South East Integrated Family Centre (name of centre is still to be decided) is being delivered as part of a larger community precinct and sporting Masterplan for Truganina.
Located next to Garrang Wilam Primary School, the site includes;
- Kindergarten
- Maternal Child Health Services
- Specialist support services for children
- Sports fields
- Pavilion
- Tennis courts
- Open space
Council has nominated ECMS as the Early Years Provider and Operator of this location.
State Funding of $3M from the Growing Suburbs Fund and $1.6M from the Children's Facilities Capital funding program was successfully applied for in 2020.
Previous consultation
We spoke with the community about this project in during 2018/19. The community's contributions, feedback and input was used to help shape our project Masterplan.
What's next
Construction
The construction of the Integrated Family Centre component of the Masterplan, commenced in early March 2021 and is expected to be complete by the end of this year. The remaining Masterplan elements such as sporting ovals, and pavilion will be delivered at a later date (to be determined by the project team).
Naming of the Centre
Council has internally commenced the process of working towards naming the Integrated Family Centre and will consult with community about this in the near future.
