About the project

The Tarneit North Integrated Family Centre (name of centre is still to be decided) is located on Polly Parade in Tarneit.

The new centre will provide:

  • a Kindergarten,
  • Maternal and Child Health services,
  • as well as other allied services and community spaces.

Council has nominated Bestchance as the Early Years Provider and Operator of this location.

State Funding of $2.5M from Building Blocks and $2.5M from the Growing Suburbs Fund was successfully applied for in 2020.


Previous consultation

We spoke with the community about this project in during 2018/19. The community's contributions, feedback and input was used to help shape not only the overall project Masterplan but the Integrated Family Centre (IFC).

What's next

Construction

The construction of the IFC component of the Masterplan, commenced in early March 2021 and is expected to be complete by April 2022.


Naming of the Centre

Council has internally commenced the process of working towards naming the Integrated Family Centre and will consult with community about this in the near future.
