Wyndham City is taking a long-term strategic approach to planning what, where and how we deliver services and assets to our community. This will ensure we are planning our city in a way that is responsive to our community's needs today, while growing and adapting our services to meet the needs of future residents and as our community changes.

As part of this approach, we base our decision making firstly on providing relevant, quality services that each community needs, and then decide on the assets required to deliver these services.

What is an asset?

Assets are the infrastructure that Council controls to provide services to the community. These can include buildings, land, equipment, plant, roads and drains.

What services does Council deliver?

Council delivers over 100 diverse services to contribute to the strength and wellbeing of our community. For the purpose of the Draft Service and Asset Policy and Framework, some of these include:

  • Libraries and community learning
  • Aged and disability
  • Children's services
  • Youth services
  • Local laws
  • Waste and recycling
  • Sports, park and recreation
  • Environment and sustainability.

For further information on services see Council's website.
