Community bookings to open for Point Cook Pop Up space in 2026

Wyndham City Council will open community bookings for the Point Cook Pop Up Park from mid 2026, following strong community support for the space to continue as a shared public park.

Bookings will be administered through Council’s system, ensuring a consistent and transparent process for community groups, local organisations and others wishing to use the space.

Recent community consultation confirmed strong local support for the Point Cook Pop Up Park, with residents highlighting the park’s value as a place for connection, cultural celebration, small-scale events and community activity.

Stockland will continue to manage the space and are committed to seeing the Park remain a central feature to its Town Centre offering, supporting a vibrant, connected community.

Under this new approach, the Point Cook Pop Up Park will be available for a broad range of uses, including community and cultural gatherings.

Limits will apply to event size, ticketed events, alcohol and certain commercial activities to ensure the space remains safe, accessible and appropriate for a neighbourhood setting.

All bookings can be made here.

Background

For the past eight years, the Point Cook Pop Up Park has been a much-loved gathering place – a hub for events, entertainment, and connection.

Stockland have indicated their preference to conclude the park’s operation and reopen the space as a road. At the same time, CoLocal, the community group behind the park’s success, have decided to step back from running it. We thank CoLocal for their dedication, passion, and for bringing so much joy and vibrancy to our community over the years.

No decision has been made by Council, and we will be guided by what the community tells us.

Before anything is decided on what’s next, we want to hear from you.
