Whether you’re passionate about your local community, interested in local issues, or simply want to help shape the future of Wyndham, we encourage you to apply to join the People’s Advisory Panel.
Our current Panel includes people from a wide range of backgrounds, demographics and locations across Wyndham. We welcome applications from anyone aged 16 years and over, and are also encouraging participation from groups whose voices are less often heard, to help ensure the Panel reflects Wyndham's diversity.

The People’s Advisory Panel is a chance for community members to help shape the future of Wyndham and have a real say on the plans and decisions that affect you. It also helps ensure we hear from people with a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives.
Panel members are invited to share their ideas, experiences and local knowledge on a range of projects, helping provide valuable community perspectives and feedback that form part of our decision-making process.
The Panel* is open to anyone aged 16+ years. You don’t need to have any special knowledge about Council to join.
*Elected representatives from any level of government, paid employees of any political party and Wyndham City Council employees and any Councillors from the past two terms cannot join.
As a community member, you have insight into how best we can shape the future of our City! This is why we want to hear from you.
The Panel is a great opportunity to have input into future plans that affect the residents of Wyndham and to ensure that we hear from diverse community members.
Registration for the People’s Advisory Panel will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 2 August 2026.
We’re looking for more members to get involved in the Panel until June 2029, however you will have an annual opportunity to 'opt out' if the Panel is no longer right for you.
Over your membership, you may be asked to get involved in large workshops that are over a few days, smaller focus groups, interviews or be asked to provide your ideas via a survey. These can be in-person or online.
There will also be opportunities to connect with your fellow Panel members in forums and meetings to discuss those issues most important to you.
As part of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2027-2029 around 50 panel members will be randomly selected to work together to help shape the recommendations for the draft RAP.
Support will be provided to make sure all members of the People’s Advisory Panel can participate.
