Thanks again for attending our final Community Conversation session last week. We have combined the two Visions you developed into one final version to make sure everyone's opinions have been included.

How did we get to this Vision? We took into account the following:

  • The content and intent of all five community based visions and the different conversations that took place as they were being developed
  • The need for the vision to be clear, with simple language and easy to understand concepts
  • The matters raised during the final discussions and those you indicated that you most agreed with
  • The placement of related concepts within the Vision itself

So, we made the following changes:

  • Placed all of the ‘people’ content in the statement together in the first sentence
  • Taken the concept of the 20-minute city and described it using everyday language so that it is clearer to others

Now it's time for one final vote.

Let us know if you agree with the updated Vision by voting Yes or No below. We are looking for an 80% consensus so think about if you can live with the below Vision and are happy to sign off on it.

You can also add a message for Council if you would like to share anything else.

Our final agreed upon Themes and Theme Statements are also below for your information.
