Developing the Draft Creative Wyndham Strategy

In 2024, Council undertook extensive engagement to help shape the future of creativity in Wyndham. This included surveys, workshops, roundtables and targeted conversations with:

  • Creative practitioners
  • Community members
  • Young people
  • Cultural groups
  • Traditional Owners
  • Industry stakeholders

The insights gathered through this engagement directly informed the goals and actions within the draft Creative Wyndham Strategy.

You can read more about what we heard from the community in the Stage One Engagement Report

The message was clear: Creativity matters in Wyndham - and it should grow alongside our city.

Following this initial consultation, Council has taken time to further develop the draft Creative Wyndham Strategy to ensure it aligns with Council’s key long-term plans.

These include:

  • Wyndham 2050 Community Vision
  • Council Plan 2025–2029 (incorporating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan) which was updated in 2025.

Now we want to hear from you!

Review the draft Creative Wyndham Strategy and share your feedback to help us finalise the plan and guide the future of creativity in Wyndham.

Strategic Goals and Objectives

Creative Wyndham is structured around three strategic goals that that translate the Wyndham 2050 Community Vision into practical actions for arts, culture and creativity.
  • Goal One: Thriving Creatives

Creatives in Wyndham are supported to develop sustainable practices, access professional pathways and work in spaces that support creative production and presentation.
