Construction finished in mid 2022 and the park is now ready for community use.

Consultation for this project has now closed. View the final concept design via the Document Library.

Fraser Street Park in Hoppers Crossing is a much loved open space environment in Wyndham. As part of Council's park upgrade strategy for the whole of Wyndham, as detailed in the Play Space Strategy and Open Space Strategy, Fraser Street Park is receiving a significant upgrade to address the ageing infrastructure, including playground equipment, pathways, furniture and landscaping, in order to meet the expectations of the local residents and the broader community. This upgrade with establish the park as a district-level park.

What is a district-level park?

Defined in the Wyndham Open Space Strategy, a district-level park is a space that caters for a collection of adjacent neighbourhoods. This may provide for active sport and/or passive activities, and are generally located within one kilometre of all dwellings. District parks may also protect sites of natural and heritage value and provide for landscape diversity and amenity.

A district-level play space upgrade is exciting for Fraser Street Park as, once upgraded, the reserve will be a terrific space for the residents, nearby school and wider local community.

How you can help?
